Karen says: "I have worked with the public for over 28 years in healthcare, previously at a GP surgery and now in pharmacy. This experience has given me excellent communication skills and understanding of what people want and their needs and I enjoy going the extra mile wherever I can to help people.
I would like to see Trowbridge a clean and tidy town to live in boosting the respect people have for it. There are some beautiful areas of Trowbridge to go walking and the care and upkeep is important to ensure the public are safe. TTC neighbourhood services support towards this goal is so important and with residents supporting them by reporting and directing them they will never be short of work. This service is invaluable and one that I will always support.
I believe we need to focus on our young generation providing good education, they are the future of this country and they need goals to achieve. We need to ensure that Active Trowbridge continues and thrives for the health and future health of our children which in turn will reduce the pressure and cost to our NHS service.
I would like to see further help and support getting companies and the self employed back on their feet once the pandemic is over, getting our economy moving again. A sensible approach is needed for planning and development applicants as this will benefit many different industries locally.
I will listen to all voices in Trowbridge from young to old and do whatever I can to improve our town. This is about teamwork and not taking individual credit for any achievements"
