Glyn Bridges is a long standing Trowbridge resident and experienced town councillor who has previously served as mayor during the years 1998/99, 2003/04 and 2014/15. Alongside councillor responsibilities, Glyn is also one of Trowbridge's leading building historians and previous chairman of the Trowbridge Civic Society,
Glyn says "I have been a Town Councillor for many years, and I currently serve as Chair of the Museum Committee, and as a member of the Town Development Committee. I am keen to promote the development of our town, particularly the Museum which is not only an excellent educational resource for Trowbridge schools, but is also a valuable attraction for tourism".
Prior to his election he said "If elected I will continue to fight to improve the appearance of the town, so that new developments, as well as repairs to roads and pavements, are properly carried out."
Glyn along with former councillor Graham Payne called for greater measures to be put in place to stop people vandalising the historic Courtfield House in Trowbridge after it was badly damaged by fire in 2018.
