Clive was elected alongside his Lib Dem ward colleagues Stewart Palmen and Chris Hoar to represent Central ward on Trowbridge Town Council in the 2021 local elections.

Clive says "I have lived in Trowbridge for 23 years and worked as a postman in the ward. I was first elected as Town Councillor 14 years ago, and I have served as the Town's Mayor. I have now retired, and I would like to have the opportunity of continuing to serve the people of Trowbridge Central and to improve Trowbridge so that it reflects its status as Wiltshire's county town."
