Wiltshire Council Brexit preparations unseen
The Leader of the Liberal Democrats in Wiltshire - Cllr Thorn shared on in a tweet Tuesday 7th October that he was disappointed to be asked to leave a Wiltshire Council meeting on preparations for Brexit. He shared that was not prepared to accept that the council discussions and documents could not be shared with Wiltshire residents.
Residents in Wiltshire have a right to know what discussions & preparations have been made in the event of a No-Deal Brexit, it is a shame that the Council are not prepared to engage in constructive debate & transparency about something affecting all residents. Other areas in the UK such as Newcastle City Council released its worst-case scenario plans for the UK leaving the European Union without a deal on October 31 at the end of September 2019.

In line with the Liberal democrat Federal Constitution which asserts that the 'role of the state is to enable all citizens to attain these ideals, to contribute fully to their communities and to take part in the decisions which affect their lives', local Lib Dems call on the Wiltshire Council to provide local residents with the same level of transparency as other areas in the UK..
