Warminster: Splashpad Gets Ready to Launch in May!

Excitement builds for the eagerly anticipated splashpad in the Warminster Lake Pleasure Grounds.

Mayor of Warminster, Cllr. Jeffries said, "We have been very excited to see the splashpad take shape over the last few months and look forward to seeing young children enjoy this fantastic facility adding a new attraction to our wonderful park. There is still some preliminary work to do which includes pre-opening maintenance, water testing and balancing but we hope to be open by early May".

The Parks and Estate Team are having extensive training in preparation of the opening of the splashpad. Regular water testing will take place to ensure a safe clean water supply is maintained.

It is vital that users follow the safety rules stated on the signage in the splashpad area. The first being that all children must wear costumes and infants must wear a swimming nappy. If a regular nappy splits the tiny beads will enter the filtration system and result in the complete closure of the splashpad. Swimming nappies are designed for water use and keeping messy accidents at bay. The splashpad will be open from 10am until 5pm for all to enjoy if everyone follows the rules.
