The consultation on the Trowbridge park public toilets has been published - for the full report see the link below.

Outlining a few points from the report:

449 people responded to the survey. 90.66% felt there should be toilet facilities provided by the town council in Trowbridge park and there were a number of different answers for the best location for new toilet facilities.

Just over 59% said they rarely or never used the previous toilet facilities, many of those leaving comments said they didn't feel safe or clean.

Comments ranged from describing the previous toilets in the park as horrible or a nuisance" to "We really need toilets that are accessible all the time during daylight hours", another said "I do think there needs to be loos one the park accessible to all open 10-7 summer and 9-3 winter." the need for accessibility was mentioned as essential for those with small children, disability both seen and unseen.

Requests for the self cleaning toilets in Bath or for the new ones to be monitored and cleaned hourly. Also mentioned was the need to have a toilet big enough to take a pram into, so parents didn't leave small children unsupervised.

The residents comments in the survey seems to indicate that the previous toilets were no longer suitable and that careful consideration now needs to be given to location, accessibility and how to keep them safe and clean.
