***BREAKING*** The Supreme Court, our highest court in the land, has unanimously found Boris Johnson has acted unlawfully in closing down parliament and preventing our democratically elected representatives from doing their job and holding the government to account.

Johnson has unlawfully disenfranchised every single voter in order to try to force through something that has absolutely no majority support in this country.

The court was damning in its findings. This isn't about Brexit it's about the Executive being able to bypass democratic scrutiny via our elected representatives. Thankfully, the rule of law has been asserted.

Lady Hale has gone so far as to say prorogation was an attempt to "suspend parliamentary democracy" and that Boris Johnson advised the Queen to "act unlawfully"

Finally, the court found that parliament has NOT been prorogued, therefore the speakers of the Houses of Commons and Lords can reconvene parliament.

This is a damning verdict on the utterly shambolic Conservative government that is hell bent on a course of action that has no majority support in the country, and that is designed solely to keep their party together.

South West Wiiltshire Parliamentary Candidate, Ellen Nicholson stated 'I am delighted that the Supreme court has ruled what many of us suspected, that the prorogation unlawful, the Prime Minister is in a untenable position, his advice to the Queen was unlawful and the correct course of action is for the Prime Minister to resign. There is no confidence in this minority conservative government'.

Only the 🔶Liberal Democrats🔶 would stop this madness immediately.
