The 14 Wiltshire areas with the highest Covid rates

MM
10 Feb 2021

These are the areas across Wiltshire with the highest infection rates.

Although, generally, coronavirus cases have been going down as a result of lockdown, a few areas across the county still have rates higher than 200 per 100,000.

These include parts of Salisbury, Warminster and villages in the north-east of the county.

The figures are shown on a map on the Government coronavirus dashboard, which breaks down infections in England into small areas with a population of around 7,200 called Super Middle Output Areas (MSOAs).

For each MSOA, the map shows the number of cases in the past week, increases or decreases compared to the week before and the rate of cases per 100,000 people.

These are the 14 areas in Wiltshire with the highest rates, based on data from the week to February 2.

  • Downton & Morgan's Vale (31 cases; +13 on previous week; rolling rate of 386.1)
