Scrutiny stifled at WC on Health, Environment and Children's committees

23 Aug 2020

Wiltshire Council's Conservative administration is using the opportunity of the Covid crisis to diminish oversight of the executive by backbench councillors.

In their place there will be strange secret meetings of committee members with officers and cabinet members. No further formal public meetings of the committees are scheduled.
