Round 2: New Plan Submitted

30 Oct 2018

We waited weeks expecting an appeal to the Secretary of State following the recent decision to "refuse" planning permission for the construction of an Advanced Thermal Treatment Plant by gasification in July.

Instead, Northacre Renewable Energy, claiming to have learnt lessons, have responded by submitting a strikingly similar plan to their former unsuccessful plan arrogantly telling Wiltshire Council that it has one last chance to get this right or they will appeal, claiming cost.

Said Gordon: "we should not be frightened or put off by this. Despite what they have said this remains a monstrously large building and its impacts on our town and our landscape are likely to be as significant".
