Stephen Cooper, candidate for Trowbridge Park

Stephen is a retired IT Operations Manager living in Trowbridge. He passionately believes that your local representatives should work together for the good of the whole community. Local politics should not be about ideology or political ambition…. it should be about serving the community.

Stephen says 'I want Trowbridge to be somewhere we can all be proud of, with facilities and services that enhance all our lives. I will support plans to rejuvenate our town, keep our streets clean and attract new and welcoming businesses.

I want us to be able to enjoy the open spaces in Trowbridge in peace without worrying about anti-social behaviour , litter….. or dog mess! I will work hard to make sure that all open spaces, especially our children's' play areas, are kept clean and safe.

I want a sensible approach to planning and development in Trowbridge. We need new housing, especially affordable housing, but this shouldn't be at the expense of existing communities. I will fight to protect the right of residents to be involved in the planning process, especially their right to object to any development that directly affects them'.
