16 Apr 2019

One of the longest serving and perhaps the most well known Wroughton Parish councillors Ann Richards is calling for those whose appreciate her and councillor Andy Spry stance of standing up for village by getting things done and keeping in touch to support Jamie Taylor in the Borough elections.

Ann says " Jamie with his Wroughton background and desire to fight for our village against the Swindon town fixated Conservative Borough Council makes the ideal choice as our next councillor."

Jamie Taylor who went to the Wroughton Infants and Junior schools followed by Ridgeway secondary school says " I am so excited to get the opportunity to stand for council for our village. I understand the unique nature of our village and the threats felt by overdevelopment exemplified by how the Wroughton Local Plan was completely ignored by developers and worries about our health services with the dramatic growth of Wichelstowe without a GP surgery.

"I will campaign and work with the Parish Council to keep our designated green spaces and for a GP surgery in Wichelstowe to reduce the demand and appointment waiting times at the Wroughton Health Centre."
