AN ambitious new street market and a drive-in cinema are coming to Trowbridge as part of plans to foster a vibrant new quarter at Innox Mills.

From handmade arts and crafts and vintage clothing to street food, fresh produce and West Country ale and cider, Innox Market will offer a range of products against the backdrop of live music.

And Cinema Retrow is coming to town and will feature family-friendly films plus classics such as iconic 1980s titles Back to the Future, Dirty Dancing and The Terminator.

Guests can pre-order food including hot dogs and burgers from local street food provider, JC's Kitchen, which will be served by rollerblading waiters and waitresses.

Located at the site of the former Bowyer's factory in Trowbridge, the vision for Innox Mills is to create a vibrant new residential-led mixed-use quarter.

The development will bring buildings in disrepair back into use and will create three hundred new homes, a mix of food, leisure and employment facilities, plus a convenience store, places for families and friends to meet and enjoy - plus improved links connecting Trowbridge.

Cinema Retrow will be showing classic films, among others, in August

Social distancing measures will be in place at the new market to encourage visitors to shop safely and protect their fellow visitors and stallholders.

Cinema Retrow will be a contactless event with tickets, food and drink ordered online. Cars will be also socially distanced and parked at the recommended distance apart, following the latest Government guidelines.

Innox Market will take place on the third Sunday of each month, starting on July 19, at the new Innox Mills development, next to Trowbridge train station.

Organised by the Innox Mills site owners with The Anonymous Travelling Market, the event will run from 10am-4pm and is the first in a number of initiatives planned for Trowbridge's newest quarter.

Cinema Retrow will run from August 7-9, with a programme of 13 feature film screenings of some all-time greats, family classics and newer favourites.
