Jo Trigg

Wiltshire and town councillor for Trowbridge Lambrok

Jo represents Trowbridge Lambrok ward on both Wiltshire Council and Trowbridge Town Council.

Jo was first elected in November 2019 and then re-elected in May 2021.

Jo is standing again for both Wiltshire Council and Trowbridge Town Council. Jo works part time as the Senior Caseworker for the Chippenham MP, Sarah Gibson but is also involved in many voluntary positions in our local community, all of which complement her councillor roles. Jo firmly believes in the power of local communities and about all of us being involved in helping to improve the area in which we live . In her previous professional life, Jo was part of the Senior Team for national company, The Consortium. She is a trustee of the EQUA Mead Learning Trust (includes 20 local schools including John of Gaunt), governor at Studley Green Primary School, trustee of local charity Trowbridge Future, champion for Families Out Loud, sits on the committee for Studley Green Community Association, is one of the organisers of the Trowbridge Weavers Market and is the current team leader of the Cockhill Community Speedwatch group.

Jo says “I’ve spent the last 5 years engaging with hundreds of residents and local groups and I still feel there is much to do in Lambrok; focus on sorting the road conditions and tackle ongoing traffic problems and safety, continue to protect and enhance our green spaces, continue to work closely with local police and communities to help reduce crime, push for additional dropped kerbs and improved pavement surfaces, support our town centre by helping to drive activity and investment, fight for fair funding for our schools and youth services and for our most vulnerable residents.”
