Richard Mann

Richard says "I am delighted to be your Liberal Democrat candidate for 'Winsley and Westwood' (which includes Wingfield, Limpley Stoke, Monkton Farleigh and South Wraxall) in May's Wiltshire Council elections.

A G.P. and medical educator by background, I have lived in Winsley for over 3 years and in the county for 25 years.

I am married to Tessa, one of the local Church of England clergy team. We have two grown up sons and now two young grandsons.

I am an active member of the congregation of St. Nicholas Church in Winsley, chair of the village amateur dramatic group 'The Nightingales', serve on a climate emergency group for Winsley Parish Council and volunteer regionally as a S.T.E.M. ambassador (helping nurture the enthusiasm of school pupils for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).

My hobbies include birdwatching and all things Italian including the beautiful Italian language, which I can speak.

My political concerns are primarily to help communities flourish and for a fairer and greener society" and my personal top three concerns are the climate emergency, social care (given my GP background) and more transparent and engaging local democracy, along with representing issues in 'Winsley and Westwood'."
