Organising a Postal Vote ahead of the Next Election

August 10, 2020 10:30 AM

We are sometimes asked when the next opportunity to vote will come along.

At present, locally, it looks very much like this will be on Thursday, 6th May 2021, when the seats for Wiltshire Council will be contested.

All elections, including by-elections (brought about by resignations or deaths) have been suspended because of the Corona Virus. It's possible that by-elections may be restored before this time, but not certain.

It isn't possible to predict what restrictions may be in place, locally or nationally, affecting the ability of people to vote.

However, it remains my strong advice to sign up for a postal vote (this will stay in force for all subsequent elections if you choose).
Here is the link you will need to apply for a postal vote, direct to the Council.
