Great British September CleanKeep Britain Tidy have announced the annual Great British 'Spring' Clean have announced that their UK-wide clean-up initiative will still go ahead in 2020, from 11 - 27 September, this has been delayed due to Coronavirus.

To ensure that the campaign complies with the current Government guidance in relation to Coronavirus, the campaign has been amended slightly to ensure the health and safety of all participants and supporting staff.

Changes will include:

  • Participants will be able to pledge to commit their time to the campaign via Keep Britain Tidy's website - this pledge commits participants to litter-pick for a chosen amount of time during the campaign period.
  • Volunteers will be able to organise and register a private event via the website for themselves and up to five people, in line with social distancing guidelines (subject to change in line with Government guidance on the maximum number of people who can meet in a public space).
  • There will be no option to host or join a public event.
