Farming Community Concerns

Lib Dem parliamentary candidate spent time with the National Farmers Union listening to #Wiltshire farmers last week, Ellen Nicholson said 'I'm extremely concerned about challenges they face, from countryside management, to crop sales and potential tariffs on exports, the potential negative impact of a No-Deal Brexit on all aspects of farming cannot be underestimated'.

'Many farms due to #Brexit are sitting at break-even point and it is inevitable in a No-Deal Brexit scenario some of these businesses will go to the wall, this would impact not just on farmers but the infrastructure around farming, from delivery drivers, merchants and ultimately impact on prices rises in the food chain'.

Farming and local communities deserve better than this divisive Government that fails to appreciate the challenges local businesses face.
