More road closures on A361 Semington

March 17, 2017 11:14 AM

Closures on the Hilperton to Semington road last year caused a lot of congestion but no obvious improvement in the road surface. So in May Wiltshire Council will have another go.

Again a road closure is required, however WC say this will only be in effect at weekends, with no work due to take place during the week. Weather dependent, the road will be closed from 7am to 6pm on Saturday 6 May, Sunday 7 May and Sunday 14 May.

Access to Semington will be unrestricted as the roundabout is not being resurfaced as part of the programme and usual access for residents and businesses will be maintained.

The work will include removal of cats eyes, resurfacing and replacing the cats eyes and lining.

Local businesses will receive a letter with the full details nearer the time.
