Parking charges consultation is now live

September 29, 2017 12:19 AM

The 'consultation' on the options to review car parking charges in Wiltshire is now underway. It can be found on the WC website and provides an opportunity for people to feedback their views on a number of proposed options.

Wiltshire Conservatives have threatened to cut bus services if they don't get their way on increasing parking charges. They're also considering other means of getting money from motorists such as parking bay sensors, automatic number plate recognition for residents' parking zones, static cameras outside schools and body worn cameras.

The consultation is designed to get the answers the council wants - anyone trying to be clever and giving unconventional answers will be ignored.

The consultation runs until midnight on 23 November 2017.
