Tips go under new management

October 8, 2017 12:04 AM

Hills Waste Solutions aren't running our Household Recycling Centres any more. FCC Environment have been given the contract for the management of the nine HRCs which are owned by the council.

FCC Environment and Wiltshire Council plan to carry out a phased programme of site improvements during October, November and December. Each site will be closed for between one and two weeks.

Warminster tip will be closed from 11th to 20th October, and Trowbridge from 13th to 26th November. Melksham's closure is 30th October to 11th November.

There have been excessive queues of traffic at the Canal Road site in Trowbridge caused by WC mismanagement, and it's hoped the redesign of the centres and of working practices will help to reduce the queues.
