An application for a mobile home, touring caravan and dayroom on land across the railway line from Bonnie Park was refused in August 2010 on the grounds that the site was unsuitable and the access inadequate.
An almost identical application returned to the planning committee on Wednesday March 3rd, and was refused again.
The difference in the new application was that a re-designed access route was proposed.
Bratton Parish Council objected, as did Wiltshire Council highways.
Whilst still recommending refusal planning officers suggested the number of reasons should be reduced from the three given last time (impact on the open countryside; remoteness from services; inadequate access) to just the one relating to the access. The other reasons were seen by officers as not good enough to be used in this case following an appeal decision on a nearby site.
