Dogs WC consultation

Springer spaniel dog in snow.Wiltshire Council is harmonising its dog control rules. All public land is to be designated as an area where any dog mess has to be picked up by the owner and safely disposed of, and dogs are to be excluded from children's play areas.

Wider restrictions which are legally available are unlikely to be invoked. These include a power to request dogs be kept on leads in certain areas, and a limit on the number of dogs under the control of one person.
