The East Street pub applied to Wiltshire Council for an extended license to allow it to provide indoor and outdoor music and karaoke until 2am every night, as well as hot food and refreshments.
The application was for provision of live music, which would stop at 11.30pm, and recorded music, which could go on to 2am.
Residents of East Street and Furlong objected, claiming they're already disturbed by noise from the pub and its customers and the extension would make things worse.
A hearing held on Monday October 4th decided to allow the license, but without allowing external music and including conditions to minimise disturbance to neighbours.
